The pin height of the Model 340 UHD Ultra High Demolition Caterpillar Excavator is 13% higher than that of the previous generation, and can reach up to an eight-layer structure.

This 122,400-pound demolition excavator has a pin height of 82 feet at the tip of the shaft and can dig up to 24 feet 3 inches.

The hydraulically driven variable gauge chassis can be extended to 13 feet 4 inches and retracted to 9 feet 10 inches using 24 inch track shoes for transportation. Compared with the two-piece bracket design on the 340F UHD, the one-piece bracket design can reduce the transport height of the boom to less than 9 feet 10 inches.

The stick can be configured with a Cat coupler and two UHD front-end options are provided. The 72 feet 2 inch front provides a maximum weight of 8,160 pounds at the stick pin, and the maximum horizontal range of the stick front at the front and sides of the machine is 44 feet 5 inches. Stick pins up to 7,280 pounds can be used on the 82-foot front, and the stick fronts on the front and sides of the machine can reach up to 43 feet 9 inches.

The hydraulic arm cable on the Caterpillar excavator can be quickly connected/disconnected by hand, without special tools, allowing the UHD front end to be switched to a modified arm within a few minutes. Contractors can choose one-piece or two-piece boom options for high-productivity truck loading or low-level demolition work. Three types of sticks are available, with lengths of 9 feet 2 inches, 10 feet 6 inches, and 12 feet 10 inches. Standard Cat payload provides mobile weighing and real-time estimation of payload.

The Cat C9.3B engine has a rated power of 311 horsepower and can use diesel or biodiesel fuel up to B20. Three engine power modes-Power, Smart and Eco-match the machine to work requirements, and can significantly reduce fuel consumption compared to the 340F UHD. Smart mode automatically matches engine and hydraulic power requirements, provides maximum power output when needed, and reduces power to save fuel in less demanding tasks. The new high-efficiency hydraulic reversing fan can cool the engine as needed and also help reduce fuel consumption.

The width of the new premium heated and cooled seat has been increased by 5% compared to the previous design. Tilting the console up with your left hand helps to increase access by 45%. The operator can program the machine operation settings, including joystick button control, and the system will store each setting according to the operator ID.
